李光耀：若大馬善用華印裔

（新加坡10日訊）內閣資政李光耀說，馬來西亞擁有所有資源，如果大馬為華族和印度族人民提供教育及善用這些人民，將能媲美或超越新加坡的成就，新加坡也將會很樂意重新加入大馬。

李氏上月底接受美國著名時事專欄作者普雷特訪問時指出，馬來西亞于1965年將新加坡逐出時，就認定新加坡會失敗，最終得依照他們的條件重回馬來西亞。

“新馬之間的問題不僅是國與國之間的問題，而是對種族、宗教、文化持有不同心態的問題。

我們證明了如果他們改變作風，就能有哪些成就。馬來西亞擁有所有資源，如果為華族和印度族人民提供教育，善用這些人民，它將能夠媲美或超越新加坡的成就，新加坡也將會很樂意重新加入。”

《聯合早報》引述他的談話說，新加坡能有今天的成就，是因為有良好管理機制，卻依然面臨生存危機。 他感慨年輕一代的國人，總是不相信他一再傳達的危機信息。
